Children
Children’s Counselling & Therapies
Ages 2-12
Would your child benefit from a safe and supportive environment to express their feelings? Do you want your child to find help resolving issues that are affecting their mood and behaviour?
We offer your child a playful, interactive and empowering experience. We highlight your child’s unique strengths and abilities, trusting their own ability to grow and heal. We want your child to know, throughout our sessions together,
I am here. I hear you. I understand. I care.
We support your child to safely express their feelings, learn self-regulation skills, build social skills, become more resilient and develop a healthy self-esteem.
Our Approach
-
Play Therapy (ages 2 to 8-9)
Play is your child’s most natural form of communication and self-expression.
We support your child to ‘play out’ their problems and feelings, just as adults talk out theirs. Playing provides an age-appropriate and safe space for your child to express their thoughts & feelings, share worries or concerns, process trauma, develop coping strategies, experience empathy and find new and creative ways of solving problems.
-
Talk & Creative Therapies (ages 9 to 10+)
We use evidence-based talk therapies such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Comitment Therapy (ACT) & Social Skills training to support your child’s growth and development.
We incorporate creative-arts such as drawing, painting, clay and collage to support your child in exploring and expressing their feelings in an age-appropriate way.

NDIS
We have been working with children with additional needs and their families for over 10 years. Supporting neurodiverse children and children with intellectual and/or physical disability.
We take the time to find out what makes your child unique, and we tailor your child’s sessions to suit their individual needs.
Children’s feelings are no different to yours. Just because they might get angry over the colour of a cup, does not make their feelings any less valid.
